One of the reasons behind my failures was that I acted in the wrong order.
I have done that until recently.
TLDR: Shift from “Do > Have > Be” to “Be > Do > Have” to create a more fulfilling journey.
I would DO everything diligently to HAVE or BE something.
Although I have had success, the journey was often rough. I consoled myself that hardships are needed for success.
Boy, was I wrong!
When I came across this phrase, I liked it enough to implement it. And it blew my mind how easier it was to HAVE something if I could BE the person ready to have that.
Imagine you’re a researcher aiming for a writing job.
The conventional approach might involve doing everything (DO) to secure a job offer (HAVE) and become a medical writer (BE). You engage in networking, learning, and crafting your resume, cover letter, and portfolio. Yet, you might still feel confused and encounter struggles.
Now, consider starting with ‘BE.’
Envision yourself as a medical writer, even before landing the job. When you genuinely believe you are something, your perspective on life, events, and the people around you shifts through the lens of that ‘BEING.’
Be > Do > Have.
Saying, “I am a medical writer” triggers essential questions:
– What do I do as a medical writer?
– Why and how do I do it?
– How can I do it better?
This reflection of your being brings clarity to your vision, amplifies your voice, and ignites enthusiasm in your actions, ultimately allowing you to HAVE what you desire.
If I hadn’t believed in myself as an author before writing my latest book, navigating the process would have been overwhelming. I might not have completed the project at all!
Like everything else in life, moderation in struggle is necessary. You cannot walk the tough path all the time, that will take your soul away, bring chronic stress, and compromise your health.
➸ So, my revised order now is: Be > Do > Have.
❓ What’s your order of action?
❓ Can a shift in your approach bring about better results? 🤔
