My journey
Coming from a rural, traditional family in Bangladesh and lacking any guidance, I’ve successfully established a freelance business in Canada in the post-pandemic economy. My journey has been one of independence, daring to see and approach things differently.
I transitioned from the role of a bench scientist to the medical communications industry during a challenging postpartum period without family support in North America. I understand resilience and reliability like no one else.
I am both blessed and challenged by neurodivergence.
I hold a Master’s in Immunology, a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and a postdoc in Developmental Biology, along with a decade of experience in scientific writing and authoring nonfiction.

Why did I become a medical writer?
I began scientific writing in 2007 as an undergraduate biochemistry student in Bangladesh. I used to spend countless hours studying biomedical articles. I loved communicating the stories clearly and accurately to my peers and the public through the faculty magazines and national newspapers.
The results I observed were inspiring — My writing inspired conversation and awareness. During my doctoral and postdoctoral research, I communicated complex research problems and findings in peer-reviewed manuscripts, which the scientific community praised. Concurrently, I engaged in science outreach efforts, including my blog, children book, and institutional knowledge dissemination programs. All these life events and experiences led me to medical communications.
Since then, I’ve collaborated with clients in the US, UK, and Canada. I’ve engaged with regulatory bodies to ensure brand compliance while maintaining their distinctiveness. My responsibilities have ranged from creative exploration to developing strategies, action plans, and deliverables through seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
